Notice of Holidays! As per Proclamation No. 665 declaring 23 August 2024 (Ninoy Aquino Day) as a special non-working day throughout the country in lieu of previous declaration under Proclamation No. 368 dated 11 October 2023, please be apprised that Manaoag Water District (MANWAD) will be closed on the said date including 26 August 2024 (National Heroes Day). However, Saturday, 24 August 2024 MANWAD office is open from 8:00 am up to 12:00 noon. Rest assured that sustainability of potable water supply will be our most priority during these holidays. Water Safety Plan Certificate of Acceptance The Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA), through its Water Safety Plan (WSP) Committee cordially invited Water District awardees to its Recognition Ceremony for the Awarding of Water Safety Plan Certificate of Acceptance on May 24, 2024 in Tagaytay City. The said Recognition Ceremony was sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Manaoag Water District (MANWAD) is one among the 108 recipient water districts. ADVISORY There are some areas currently experiencing low water pressure to no water during peak hours in Barangays Pao, Lipit Sur and Lipit Norte due to the rehabilitation of Calaocan Elevated Steel Tank and regular maintenance of Pao Pumping Station. In view of the foregoing, the said Barangays are advised to take the necessary measures for the time being to avoid inconvenience. ADVISORY March 19, 2024 (Tuesday); 9:00P.M. onwards, the Manaoag Water District (MANWAD) will conduct emergency flushing of blow-offs at BRGY. BABASIT, BRGY. BARITAO, BRGY. BUCAO, BRGY. CALAOCAN, BRGY. LELEMAAN, BRGY. LIPIT NORTE, BRGY. LIPIT SUR, BRGY. MERMER, BRGY. PAO, BRGY. SAN RAMON, BRGY. SAPANG, and BRGY. TEBUEL which will cause low pressures and turbid water in the said portions of the service area. Residents of the affected areas are advised to avoid opening their faucets during the flushing period to prevent the entry of contaminants in the service connection and shall take necessary measures to avoid further inconvenience. MOA Signing Bued River Watershed Management Council (BRWMC) The Manaoag Water District (MANWAD) represented by the General Manager Flordeliza N. Tejano was appointed as one of the core members of Bued River Watershed Management Council (BRWMC). Signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and 1st Council Meeting was held on August 8, 2023. Bued River is one of the major rivers in the island of Luzon in the Philippines. It covers primarily the provinces of Benguet, Pangasinan and a few parts of La Union. The river originates from the city of Baguio and flows through the municipality of Pozorrubio and joins with the Angalacan River in the municipality of Manaoag, Pangasinan going to Mangaldan and will pass through San Fabian and Dagupan City. The MOA highlights the immense responsibility of the council to protect, conserve, manage, and develop the Bued River thru a collaborative mechanism. Created by: MANAOAG WATER DISTRICT
